madness
no bloggy for a couple weeks. family stuff. went to Texas to see my dad for thanksgiving. saw alot of stuff, met alot of family, ate bunches of delicious foodstuffs. stopped by the Grand Canyon, which was amaaaazzzing! the canyon looked like a painting. those pictures to come sooon. Well some moped updates:
Knucklehead B's new tomos. he's stoked. It came from Nick of Choke to Woolly Bully Chris then to Big Bryan. Its got some tomos dirt bike swing arm ( senior, juniour??) and a big 2.75 Pirelli tyre in the rear. these Pirelli's are no joke. grip for days
Alukitty with the intake bridged removed. case matched to a55 cases. Malossi 4petal
The Alukit is very nice compared to the Airsal one. the manufacturers of the alukit uses a closed pore cast. feels and looks better constructed than the airsal, although the stock porting and transfers are slightly more aggressive on the reedvalve Airsal kit.
Bryan's Magnum. freshly rebuilt. 80metra, case matched and bored by ShawShaw. gettin the Simonini injection. blaster setup
It just started raining down here in socal. rain riding anyone?

myrons mopeds
Shaun's vegetable garden. since he hasn't been hosting Myrons Mopeds monthly rides anymore, he's been busy being calm
other updates. Bryan and I cleaned out his crunchy a55 yesterday. damn metal chunks in the bottom end are scary. Did a pretty good job of gettin all the metal out. his bike is getting a Malossi 4 petal alukit treatment. Put in some secret tomos clutch tech. manifold is sweet. should be rippin sooooon!

turbocharged
After months of broken car and under employment, I was finally able to save up enough extra scratch to pick up my rebuilt turbo from TurboCity in Anaheim. YAY! seriously the best place ever!!! Geary was great. when i walked in the shop, he already knew my turbo was from an mr2! wayyyy knowledgable and super trustworthy. This was the ORIGINAL TURBO!!! and lasted 290,000 miles! HA! hopefully this one will last at least half as long. He upgraded the turbo seals to "dynamic" seals which are supposed to seal better? i dunno. But really did do a super high quality job.well the good ol' CT-26 got cleaned up, ceramic coated, intake/exhaust compressor wheels put back to spec and all the seals and internal o-rings replaced.
Sweeeeeet. little turboToyota is ALMOST back on the road. my brother will be uberglad im not askin for his car anymore. more to come sooon.
dual entry!

update Cobra
got some wiring done while im under-employed. cleaned up the connections and grounds. put in a LED taillight which is cool, sleek. Good for the me, good for the cherry toppers.
Gonna have to figure out better mounting for the taillight. is ok for now
got a new bike stand. its cool for my bikes that dont have the center stand
Sooo other Knucklehead news. Bryan picked up that magnum from Eric. he's sellin it to big B because of the previous tickets he incurred on said magnum. No license, no registration, no mirrors, no reflectors(???) and speeeeeding. threw the book at him. Eric just got the bike too! after he was looking months for one. man. serious bummer. awwww well. more to come soon. It hasn't rained yet in LBC

shiny new things that are rat as fuck
New Knucklehead build. Eric picked up this baby last week. Magnum frame from Shaw and Colby. 80 metra, Simo, 24 Mikuni flatside, super secret clutch, other secrets shhhhhhhhh, backyard ingenuity, elbow grease yada yada yada
maybe some paint???
maybe some paint???
tires, tubes and wheels. Cobra Madness!
putting the Pirelli's on the new 5 stars. 2.5 with a nice soft rubber. easy mounting
Tomo 16's stripped down and cleaned up
sprocketed, painted, repacked bearings, tires and tubes
almost done! mounting the rear wheel. finally! took me all day to do both sets. As these are tomos wheels trying to mount to Puch stuff. Most of the time was spent trying to find the correct spacing in between the forks and swingarm. They roll smoooooth smooth
Cobra! new toptank madness
On a side note, I fucked up my paint on the top side of the gas tank when the bike was flipped over like that. It also leaked tranny fluid everywhere. Test ride tomorrow! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Sachs 505/D build. David's G3 motor lives on
Naked Sachs. somethings missing. cant wait to get it back on the road
Dave's G3 motor. Sachs 505/D motor goin on my Balboa. I was hitting 35-38mph on my 505/C. Should at least hit 40 maybe a bit more with the D. mild case and port matching
I just installed the front 12 tooth sprocket which i truly believe is amongst the only handful that was available times long lost. I got it at Mopeddwarehouse. go figure
I dremeled the intake to match the port of the cylinder. it was pretty off center. Luckily, the intake was the cool 14.5mm one. only came on the C and D's.
all i need is a headlight, gasoline and tranny fluid. then road bound!

Sachs Clutch what a pain. ive read on MA somewhere if ya put another plate and clutch plate in there (3 in total) it'll give ya better super slippery engagement

FourPetalGoodness
real four petal rips. good upgrade over the stock polini "four" petal which is actually a two petal. plus it came with screws already tapped, which makes changing to different reeds a breeze
better reed cage in the works. v-force maybe?
